This was a delightful book I thoroughly enjoyed it.What happens when predictable good girl Leslie Stone ditches her two timing fianc and meets Jay Westfield, a handsome handyman with the wrong family background, but who makes her feel all the things her fianc couldn t We won t go into details here, but the repercussions involve mechanical bulls, a fortune teller, a new redneck best friend and a doll called Mr Jingles When they say the course of true love never runs smoothly, they weren t kidding, and nothing illustrates that proverb better than Man of Her Dreams This story had me laughing almost from the first page Everything happens to poor Leslie, and none of it was what I expected to happen From the first page to the last, prepare to be entertained, and try not to take a big sip of any liquid while reading lest you damage your e reader.Teresa Blue s romantic comedy, Man of Her Dreams, is the perfect way to lift your spirits and make you believe in the power of love.

Loved loved loved this book Jay was a brooding, gorgeous, sexy hero we all drool over and the heroine, Leslie, is no pushover I was rooting for them to fall in love from the first page. This book is a gem I laughed aloud reading some parts , got angry at others, and even cried Leslie riding that bull, her new bestfriend and her wacky sense of humor, Leslie s interraction with her parents, and of course Jay hot doesn t begin to describe him Leslie is three dimensional and the author does an amazing job of showing us every facet of her character Then there s Jay with his painful past, another well developed character Flawed heroes are the best, and he s deeply flawed, which makes his falling for Leslie even sweeter The author does an amazing job of drawing a reader in and keeing their interest until the last page She weaves an amazing tale with unforgettable characters hello Mr Jingles I can t wait to read from this author.

Teresa Blue s contemporary romance is a fun and sexy romp bringing together a hero and heroine from very different walks of life Leslie comes from a tight knit family, one that threatens to become smothering after Leslie breaks off her engagement in the first scene Jay s mother abandoned him while he was a teenager Since then, he s been on his own, trusting no one and keeping the world as far away as possible from his damaged heart When Leslie takes refuge in the cabin next door, Jay finds her hard to resist Although the two walk around each other like crabs ready for a fight, neither can deny the strong connection they have Will either be willing to let down their defenses long enough to let love in I love how Blue incorporated almost mystical elements in her book Mr Jingles, Leslie s childhood doll, becomes a repository for her emotion and plays a key element in several scenes Jay s mother is a Tarot card reader of dubious psychic skill, but an expert at reading faces The author does a terrific job of playing with the human desire to believe I also loved Leslie s eccentric family, especially her father Earl The end of the book hints at new stories featuring these characters and I hope we ll see of them, especially Leslie and Jay.I received an ARC in exchange for honest review and I m glad I did.

Leslie Stone realizes pretty quick that the man of her dreams isn t her two timing fiance Seeking some time to put life in perspective she heads to her family s cabin in a small town in Michigan But life throws some monkey wrenches in Leslie s plans with a dead car, no money, and a sexy handyman named Jay Westfield There s great sexual tension between Leslie and Jay as well as loads of fun with Leslie s new friend Sally Add in a fortune teller, a doll named Mr Jingles, and Leslie s family and you have the makings of a great read

A thoroughly enjoyable read From the fast paced start, when the heroine, Leslie, discovers a point of no return, to her journey to find her happy ever after, this story explores hearts of gold people who overcome their troubled pasts The characterizations are strong including a memorable secondary cast but I was particularly struck by Jay, whose difficult childhood looms like a road block on the path to a full life No cookie cutter romance here the original magical touches made this tale a fun and engaging read 4.5 stars

Read of my reviews and ramblings at Ana s Attic Sexy TalesMan Of Her Dreams by Teresa Blue was a light, sweet, often humorous small town romance with just a sprinkle of magic thrown in I picked it up and read it right through, always a good sign for a book.Leslie drops by her soon to be cookie cutter home her fianc bought, and finds him in bed with her best friend Though Leslie should be devastated, she can t help but feel relief She never really felt much for him, but since she was always the predictable good girl, she let herself get swept up in her social climbing fianc s plans So Leslie hops in her 30 year old Datsun and takes off to Sleepy Falls, Michigan where her family has owned a cabin since she was little. As she stops in the gas station, the car wouldn t start up again There she meets Jay, the gorgeous local mechanic and all around handyman Luckily, Jay lives in the cabin next door and offers her a ride home after she picks up a few groceries and some little bottles of booze to drown her misery for the night The attraction is immediate, especially when Jay sees her holding her lifelong companion, Mr Jingles, a ragdoll she tells all of her secrets to.The next day, Jay sees her hungover when he offers her a ride to town He is immediately put off by a woman who drinks, due to his estranged mother s exploits in the carnival Leslie is a pretty straight laced young lady, who wants to just live a little Plus she needs money to fix her car When she sees a sign for a mechanical bull riding competition at the local biker bar, she signs right up There she meets Sally I loved Sally who gets her all dolled up to win She also catches the attention of the scary biker, Spike Luckily though, Jay comes in just at the right time to rescue her, and finds himself lured in by her charms, despite her drinking and being the center of attention which he did NOT like He also finds her lost Mr Jingles who seems to reveal a lot about her personality to him.Sally and Leslie hit it right off and go to see a fortune teller, Madame Luella, but she turns out to be so much When Leslie s well meaning but intrusive family arrive, they throw an even bigger wrench in her plans to get to know Jay better We also have a bit of a mystery with Leslie s parents, who I really liked.Likes I enjoyed the whole cast of characters Jay and Leslie had a combustable attraction I was caught up and read it in a day Madame Luella turned out to be very different than expected I loved Sally.Dislikes Left with some unanswered questions about Leslie s parents The doll part of the story, which seemed so important at first never really went anywhere, in fact, what happened to it It came in again at the end, but I kept wondering.it just seemed unnecessary The end wrapped up really fast, I felt like I skipped a section I would have liked to watch the relationship progress a lot .Rating 3.5 stars, 2 for HeatMan of Her Dreams was a sweet, often funny, fast read without a lot of angst It had a nice down home, small town feel, and I found myself smiling throughout You definitely have to suspend belief a lot in this book, and the whole story takes place over a week Book was supplied by the author in exchange for a fair review

Reviewed By Emma A Crimson Romance BookThis is a story about Leslie, a head strong young woman set to marry the man, not so much of her dreams, and finding herself justly relived when she finds her fianc in bed with her best friend After deciding on a little retreat to find herself she quickly bumps in Jay, the local handyman, who is not only hot s hell but has a captivating personality to match Their paths soon become a little than entwined and a heated romance blossoms To be fair, the story is well written and quite original in places, and I did enjoy reading it Unfortunately, for me, I found it lacked a little back bone Where some parts of the story had the opportunity to grip the reader, it seemed to fizzle out towards the end of the chapter leaving me feeling a little frustrated and wanting the author to explore her story I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Mills and Boon type stories as it is of a very similar nature.

This was a fun read Funny, with some laugh out loud moments, but not over the top With some serious moments, such as Leslie s unwanted admirer and Jay s feelings about his past, there is a nice balance There are also some fantastic secondary characters I love Sally, and Leslie s meddling family is pretty great, too When I finished, I did feel like there were some loose ends Feels a bit unfinished, unless we will be getting a sequel Maybe with a sibling I would read it Man of Her Dreams is great if you like a good dose of humor with your romance.
