After reading book two of this trilogy I knew I had to read the third book and, busy, busy, I finally found the time Who would have thought that between book one and book three the books would shift and grow to such a degree This novel grows to embrace an entirely new feeling although it keeps the wonderful characters of the first two books, but in The Third Wish they bloom into their fullness , shifting with the landscape and the final flow that this very good writer sends them to.I bought book one, Wish Dreams Beginning, for my eight year old daughter who has since read it and loved it, then I read Wish Again Dreams Truth which I fell in love with and which I think my eight year old could also handle, but I think that this book, The Third Wish, might be a little old for her and although she ll no doubt give it a bash, I think the full brilliance and scale of what the characters explore and feel in this book, will be best suited for readers who are a little older and, to be honest, maybe adults, since they have actually had life and time to experience the over riding theme of this final book regret, reparation, autonomy, growth and completion, albeit in a landscape of fantasy, but like book two and book one, still reaching out to our humanity But wait there are some really funny bits that not only surprised me but left me giggling like a kid Not only is the style of this author very clear you can picture each moment as if you are there but she also sends you on a soul search of your own I would not recommend reading this book without the other two not because it isn t an excellent book as a stand alone, but because the story really would not be done justice if the reader doesn t know what came before to truly appreciate the brilliance of where it goes to There are books in life that you keep and books that you pass on I will keep these They are really beautiful books Almost mystical, cloaked in misty unicorn places and wild landscapes, they reached out and touched me deeply and that s what, in my opinion, novels are meant to do.

This was a very good book Deeper than the first two books of the series, I was surprised and pleasantly so, by the twists and turns that it took.As in book two of the series, this book expands and shifts its feel Rielle and Pud and the unicorns are challenged at every turn, and dear Willful James now has to face his greatest fears and choose to become worthy of the honour of being the keeper of the treasured prize entrusted to him by his mentor, who has challenged Will to be brave and strong, and to become than he knows he can be.It s a wonderful, emotive book The children I was reading this book to, aged from nine to sixteen years, in my volunteer reading group, were alternatively laughing at the lovely glimmers of humour and whimsy and riding the storm of events and twists and wondering what might come next.We all loved Rielle and her dream we were surprised and amazed by the ending and we really didn t want the story to end I highly recommend this book and this series to all readers.

Still sick in bed so I got to read it faster than if I had to go to school I found this quite deep and emotional and touching and should I say, spiritual or maybe archetypal might desctibe it better The thing that I love about the two books that I ve read in this series is that you think you re getting one thing, a bit of a light read about unicorns and people on quests, but these books hide an edgy agenda and meanings and morals that I love in books Glad I read book two first as it made this book really have meaning, knowing what had come before, even though I think you could read it on its own but I think I should read book one as well, which I didn t because I thought it might be a bit of a young read for me and I assumed it was also a bit girly, which it probably isn t as the next two turn out not to be I hope this author writes books because she s a really good writer These are beautiful mystical books.

This book had a suprising beginning and kept the suspense going throughout the book which always made it fascinating There was humor and then intensity all rolled into this book All three books have twists and turns that no one expects, and the characters fit perfectly in their personalities The Third Wish is a great book you read a little then try to imagine whats next, then you read on and find it s better than you imagined The ending was amazing and unexpected I loved the whole trilogy but this third book was just amazing.

The Third Wish by Deby Adair is the final book in the Wish series It follows Rielle and now Willful James and their unicorn friends as they finally come face to face with the Sorcerer of Great Contempt in a fight for the future of their lands.I as always enjoyed the underlying warmth of the characters, the forest and the land of Wish However, this book has the hard edge of deparation interwoven in it Rielle and Will must face their fears and be pushed to their limits to succeed It had a darker quality to it There is much introspection and self doubt among the main characters including the Imperial Guard Snails and the Sorcerer of Great Contempt This leaves the book feeling less adventurous than the other books, which I missed I did enjoy the fast paced sections, but they were slowed by cutting to less exciting goings on.I was also surprised by Will taking up time in the book when the series began with Rielle It took a turn in a different, unexpected direction This is evidenced by Rielle s encounter with her watcher and the revelation of her dream I did not see any of this coming It confused me.The Third Wish still has its light humor, great description and endearing characters However, the ending, although satisfying, did leave off in a completely different turn of events than I would ve expected.I recommend this series.Rating 3.5 5Read reviews by Cherese Vines at www.cheresevinescharmingwords.wordpre

Dream s Honour is the third and final instalment of the Wish series of novels In this episode we follow Rielle, the unicorns as well as Willful James as they take on the Sorcerer of contempt in order to fight for their land s future.Where the previous novels had strong positive emotions this one does possess a harder and darked side However, due to the confrontations that occur this is a necessary addition and I must say very thoughtfully and well done I enjoyed the chance to experience the mellowed pauses between action packed episodes as it gave me the chance to ponder what had occurred a tad thoughtfully Do not expect what normally happens via Rielle and her search but this book concentrates a great deal on Willful which made for interesting changes of thought and direction. As is usual the descriptive and colourful characters provide a truly magical read and one every child and adult should enjoy at least once

WOW Just different to anything I expected Not giving anything away, you get all sorts of stuff happening that you didn t ever expect, the unicorns are just fantastic, Rielle and Will are the best, won t say anything else cause I m still in the story and missing the books already if that makes sense, just read them for yourself and find something you were always hoping for in books and now you ve finally found it Of all the books I ever read this is my favourite trilogy in literally, years.
